Continuum is technology-focused auto accident claim management company, and was looking to position itself as tech leader in the industry. The client already had a logo, but it's brand was very much in it's infancy. I created this brand guidelines manual around the logo, while giving a breadth of assets to build the brand for the future.
A rebranding of a classic 1950's style diner, set in rural Alberta. The diner is most famous for it's homemade ice cream and baked goods. The goal here was to create a fresh take on 1950's nostalgia, paying homage to the lush brushstrokes of the era while keeping things clean and simple.
Polar Egg is an operation out of the Northwest Territories, Canada which offers fresh eggs to communities in the far North. Being a brand new company, the branding direction was a completely clean slate. It needed to be fresh, striking and minimal. I was inspired by the palette of the Canadian winter.
Garden of the Gods
I had the honour of rebranding one of the top rated restaurants in Colorado Springs, previously known as Garden of the Gods Gourmet. Their menu is innovative yet approachable, with food that is locally sourced and prepared with intention. The goal was to build a brand that would position them among the top restaurants in the nation.
A friend of mine decided to write and record an album exploring the themes of grief and loss. I was commissioned create the album art, which started with a ink drawing. My goal was to convey some of the complexities of grief through a portrait.
I had the honour of developing some brand pieces for my wife's home staging and styling business—Brilliant Styling. It was one of the easiest creative brief's I've ever done as I already knew everything about my client! Printed using gold foil.
Hand Painted Programs
These were the programs for my wedding. In line with the style of my invitations, I hand painted similar floral elements and lettering using guache watercolours. I'm really happy with how these turned out.
Boy Oh Boy
I was commissioned to create this for some friends, in celebration of the upcoming birth of their baby boy. It was designed to be hung up on that wall of his bedroom, which followed a very Wes Anderson theme.
Hand Drawn Invites
This was another wedding invitation I had a lot of fun with. The entire piece is hand drawn using chalk pencil, a medium I really learned to love.
Foothills Folk Club
The Foothills Folk Club is a concert series set in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies. Its mission is to bring quality musicians to small, appreciative audiences while encouraging community spirit and the arts. The range of music spans everything from folk, singer songwriter, world and jazz music.
The Long I
I had great fun creating this logo mark for The Long I, a socially minded pie shop based out of Boulder, CO. Their mission is to make the best quality pie for their community to enjoy and to give youth at risk of homelessness, exploitation, incarceration, etc. a first chance at employment. If you live in the Boulder area, order yourself a pie!
Hand Painted Invites
These were the invites for my own wedding. I had a lot of fun experimenting with guache watercolour to create a classic yet playful array of floral elements and lettering. Printed on a heavy watercolour stock.
